Finding the right holiday home for rent in Florida is not always easy. We spent five years searching Gulf Coast cities before we found the house that was right for us in Cape Coral. We call it "Coronado" and we love it. We always intended to share the house as a holiday rental villa and we sought a modern waterfront home with a boat dock so that our house-guests could enjoy our power boat too. Our house accommodates up to 8 persons and has a wonderful view of the water. You can rent for just one week or as long as you want to stay.
Coronado is a waterfront villa with superb views on two wide-water canals, where silver fish leap out of the water most mornings. The house is in easy walking distance of downtown Cape Coral with its many shops and restaurants. It is a short drive from historic Fort Myers, where you can find the fascinating winter homes of Edison and Ford as well as great shopping. There are many readily-accessible golf courses nearby.
Your rental includes the boat and we'll make sure you are able to use it safely as you explore the beaches, go shelling, fishing, manatee or dolphin watching or just cruising around the canals. The nearby islands of Sanibel and Captiva make for superb sight-seeing trips in the boat. In addition to fishing tackle, you'll also find bicycles in the villa's ample 3-car garage.

Cape Coral is a very pretty city located in sunny, southwest Florida on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. Just a 20-minute drive from the SouthWest Florida International Airport, Cape Coral has hundreds of miles of gorgeous deep-blue canals flowing into the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico. It is one of the largest waterfront communities, as well as one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Florida. The popular shelling beaches of Captiva and Sanibel Islands are just minutes away, and several local and state parks offer fishing, boating, swimming and snorkeling. Hiking, biking, golf and tennis are also available in the Cape Coral area. The city of Cape Coral is home to a children’s science center, as well as a fun, family water park. Several special events are held here throughout the year, including the annual Festival of the Arts, usually held in January, plus an Oktoberfest in the fall. The beautiful beaches of Fort Myers are just minutes away, and the Florida Everglades is approximately an hour’s drive from Cape Coral. A unique aspect of the city is that it has one of the largest Burrowing Owl populations in the country. During nesting season you will see these little owls sitting on perches along the city streets.
